Diagnostic Assessment
Your child's classes start after assessments show what they've already learned and how they study.
Look over the steps and costs, then request a consultation.
The two assessments your child takes before classes start
- Assessment: Subject diagnostic assessment
What it shows: Your child takes one for each subject they'll study. It shows where they are in the material and how well they know it.
- Assessment: Learning profile assessment
What it shows: Your child takes it along with the subject diagnostic assessments. It shows how they usually approach studying.
The consultation and assessment format can vary by program.
From the first consultation to your child's learning plan
- Step: First consultation
What happens: We ask about your child's grade and age, school, the country they live in and time zone, learning goals, and anything else we should know about them.
- Step: Diagnostic and learning profile assessments
What happens: Your child takes a test in each subject they'll study. We record their scores, patterns in the problems they got wrong, and how they study.
- Step: Score report and results meeting
What happens: We go over the score report with you: your child's current level, how they study, their strengths, and what to work on.
- Step: Learning plan and instructor
What happens: Based on the results, we choose your child's textbooks, syllabus, and instructor, and set class times.
We match your child with an instructor who majored in that subject, looking at how your child studies, how they're doing now, their goals, and the class times you'd like.
