Personalized Learning Plans

Your child starts class with a plan for what to learn first, based on what they already know and where they get stuck.

See how we choose and adjust what your child studies, then plan the right classes for them.

Deciding what to learn first

From checking your child's level to adjusting the next class

Four steps: check where your child is now, decide what to learn first, choose textbooks and the balance of class time, and adjust the next class based on results
  1. #: 1
Step: Check where your child is now

What happens: A consultation and a diagnostic assessment show what your child is covering at school, what they understand, where they get stuck, and how they approach their studies.

  2. #: 2
Step: Decide what to learn first

What happens: We sort topics into what your child is covering at school, earlier concepts to revisit, and topics to go deeper on, then put them in order.

  3. #: 3
Step: Choose textbooks and the balance of class time

What happens: We pick textbooks and materials that fit your child's goal and decide how much review and how many advanced problems to cover.

  4. #: 4
Step: Adjust the next class based on results

What happens: Quiz and homework results shape the next class. In math, we look at the problems your child reworked; in English writing, at what they rewrote after written corrections.

We share class results with you as well. See how parents get progress updates

How the next class changes in one-on-one and group classes

One-on-one classes

  • Diagnostic and class results change the order and difficulty of the next class.
  • Your child goes back over weak spots and moves on to applied and advanced work in what they've mastered.

Group classes

  • The pace follows a set curriculum.
  • We check each student's understanding and results and add review, homework, and feedback as needed.

Core programs and programs by grade

International and IB school work

School subject classes for international school students

Your child picks the subjects they need. Classes work on what they're covering at school and their GPA, graded school assignments and homework, and a preview of next year's material.

Competition and test prep options include AMC 8/10, UKMT, Olympiad, Math Kangaroo, the John Locke Institute Essay Competition, SCAT, Essay Contest, and Science Fair.

LABCO IB Support

One-on-one classes using your child's IB school materials

LABCO IB Support is a one-on-one online class for students at schools that teach the PYP, MYP, or IB programs. It fits students who attend their school classes but aren't sure what to review at home or which concepts they didn't fully learn.

Classes follow what your child is covering at school

We decide what each class covers based on what the school is teaching now and the concepts your child still needs to work on. Classes draw on PYP and MYP Teacher Guides, IB Rubrics, and Oxford and Cambridge materials.

IB Support: Studying with school materials, from review to next-class prep

Four IB Support steps: review, practice, fill in gaps, and prepare for the next class
  1. #: 1Step: Review

At this step, your child: Goes back over what they learned at school, using the school's own materials.

  2. #: 2Step: Practice

At this step, your child: Applies the concepts by working through related problems and assignments.

  3. #: 3Step: Fill in gaps

At this step, your child: Restudies concepts they didn't understand and the kinds of problems they often get wrong.

  4. #: 4Step: Prepare for the next class

At this step, your child: Links today's concepts to the ones coming next to get ready for the next school class.

After IB Support classes: progress checks and extra practice

After class, we use the school materials to see how assignments and assessments are going, then revise practice problems and the study plan.

How it works

    How it works
When your child needs it, they work through Review Practice and Extension Questions in the online Problem Bank.
  • What your child practicesWriting practice
    How it works
Your child writes to prompts similar to school assignments to practice structure, then strengthens weak spots by rewriting.

Native English-speaking instructors who majored in their subjects work with the IB Academic Team, Program Managers, and Subject Specialists on teaching and on keeping track of your child's learning. Whether extra practice is included, and what it costs, is covered in your consultation. See enrollment and payment details

Plan your child's personalized classes

Tell us your child's grade, school curriculum, and the subjects they find hard. Together we'll decide which subjects they need, where to start, whether one-on-one or group classes fit, and whether to use IB school materials. Classes are mainly online, and we'll also let you know whether classes at our Seocho center in Seoul are possible, and when.
