LAB.CO

K–12 online classes, tailored to each student's level

Move quickly through what your child already knows
and go back over the concepts they struggle with.

Why students give up

Too easy for some,
too hard for others

If the lesson isn't what your child needs,
they can sit through the whole class and learn little.

Bored by material they've already learned

Your child spends more of each class on review than on new concepts.

Falling further behind

The class keeps going, and the parts your child didn't understand stay unclear.

Why LAB.CO

Start a class
at your child's level

We plan each class around two questions:
What does your child already understand? What do they still need to work on?

LAB.CO
Typical group class

Lessons start from a check of your child's skills and schoolwork

Lessons start wherever the class is in the schedule

Topics your child has learned get a quick check

The same topics are taught again to the whole class

Concepts your child hasn't understood come first

The class moves on whether or not your child understands

Difficulty is set by your child's skills and goals

Difficulty is set for the whole class

The next lesson is planned from homework and test results

The next lesson follows a fixed plan

Check, plan, teach, record.
Then check again.

We recheck your child's level throughout the course
and adjust the lessons.

Core program 01 · English writing

Write Lab

English writing classes that build language skills, background knowledge,
logical structure, and research skills together.

Expression

Getting ideas out

Put ideas into their own words.

  • Students start with stories and their own experiences, then write about what they've read in their own sentences.
  • When they're stuck on what to say, they draw on their experiences, what they know, and their own views, and put it into words.

Structure

Organizing writing

Organize ideas into writing that readers can follow.

  • Through vocabulary, grammar, and language arts, students learn how sentences and paragraphs fit together and how to shape writing for its purpose.
  • They put claims, evidence, and information in the right order so the writing flows.

Research

Using evidence

Find useful sources and use them as evidence.

  • Students search for sources, pick out the information they need, and learn references, citations, and research article analysis.
  • Instead of copying from sources, they weigh the information and use it to build their own argument.

From first sentences to research:

Each grade band goes a step further, from basic expression
to informative writing, academic writing, and research.

Structure

Give ideas a clear written structure.

  • Students learn how words relate, complete sentences, and fix grammar and paragraph errors themselves to build the basics.
  • Using writing models and logical structure, they turn ideas into sentences and paragraphs, then into a complete piece.

Contents

Build knowledge to write about.

  • Students read about a range of social studies and science topics to build knowledge and viewpoints for their writing.
  • They ask questions about what they learn in history, economics, psychology, biology, and chemistry, explain it, and turn it into material for writing.

Application

Put what they learn to work in research and writing.

  • Beyond finding sources, students decide which information to use and learn to cite it accurately.
  • Citation practice, current affairs, and research article analysis turn source reading into writing and research.

then moves on to written reasoning, international curricula, and advanced math.

From Korean school math to global math

Your child learns each grade's core concepts
as a base to build on in the courses that follow.

01

Concept

Understand each concept correctly.

02

Problem Solving

Apply concepts to many problem types, including word problems.

03

Reasoning

Explain the reasoning behind each solution and lay out the logic step by step.

04

Justification & Proof

Back up each solution with logic and prove it.

05

Mastery

Find the mistake, rework the problem, and keep checking until it can be solved without help.

Functions example: Linear and quadratic functions, graphs, and what a function equation means (Korean curriculum) → Function / Independent & Dependent Variable / Slope & Intercept → Function Notation f(x) / Domain & Range / Graph Transformation → Exponential / Logarithmic / Trigonometric Functions

How classes run, how we track progress,
and how scheduling and tuition work.

We first review the student's current school progress, learning level, and learning profile, then plan a curriculum based on those findings. The initial discussion and assessment process may vary by program.

Yes. We review current schoolwork and the student's understanding, then adjust lesson content. When needed, we revisit missed concepts, move quickly through material the student understands, or go deeper.

In school support programs, lessons can use the student's actual syllabus, class notes, presentations, handouts, assignments, and assessments.

Yes. We review the curriculum the student is following or preparing for and plan lessons accordingly.

LAB.CO teachers have majored in their subjects and have direct experience with curricula including AP, IB, A Level, and GCSE. They teach from locations around the world. Students can learn with a teacher who specializes in each subject, with a plan matched to their current level and school curriculum.

Yes. We do not automatically recommend multiple subjects or add classes a student does not need.

We first review current schoolwork, the student's level in each subject, and learning goals. We then identify needed subjects, assign a teacher specializing in each one, and help the student choose only the classes they need.

LAB.CO starts with a standard curriculum and adapts it to each student's learning profile, current performance, gaps, and readiness for more advanced work.

In one-on-one classes, assessment and lessons help identify what the student needs. We adjust the curriculum by module to address gaps and extend areas where the student is ready for application or advanced work.

Group classes follow a set curriculum and pace. Teachers also check each student's understanding and progress, then add individual review, assignments, or feedback as needed.

Each lesson starts by reviewing prior assignments and learning, then introduces new concepts. Teachers check understanding through problem solving, writing, workbooks, discussion, and other activities.

In math, students analyze and retry incorrect answers. In writing, they revise their work using teacher feedback. Assignments and feedback reflect the subject.

The teacher's comments on each lesson are sent by the following day. At the end of each month, families receive a report with a rubric and the teacher's overall comments, which informs the next steps in learning.

A short test in each class checks understanding and mastery of that lesson's concepts.

A month-end assessment reviews progress across the month. Quarterly achievement assessments, such as MAP Test, and learning profile assessments provide a broader view.

Results help identify learning gaps and growth and inform later review, advanced work, and the next steps in the curriculum.

Yes. Each student has an individual academic portfolio that collects work and results over time.

The portfolio includes subject-specific work: math tests and error records, science inquiry and lab reports, English essays and writing portfolios, and monthly and quarterly assessment results.

The accumulated portfolio helps identify growth, strengths, and areas needing support and informs the student's next steps.

Results and the teacher's comments from each lesson are sent by text message by the following day.

At the end of each month, families receive a PDF report through KakaoTalk with a rubric assessment, the teacher's overall comments, and recommendations for the next stage of learning.

LAB.CO primarily offers online classes and also holds in-person classes at its Seocho center.

Families may choose online or in-person lessons based on the student's location, schedule, program, and learning goals. Contact us to confirm in-person class availability and schedules.

We assign a teacher after reviewing the student's learning profile, current performance, goals, and preferred class times.

Our teachers have majored in their subjects and have expertise and experience researching the subjects and curricula they teach. We select a teacher whose expertise and teaching approach fit the student's learning profile and goals.

Regular classes are offered month to month, without requiring a long-term enrollment commitment.

Monthly tuition is based on the number of lessons chosen per week. For example, one lesson per week is billed as four lessons per month.

Families can decide each month whether to continue, giving them time to assess whether the classes are a good fit.

When you contact us, we ask when the student is available and coordinate with the assigned teacher to confirm class times.

One-on-one class times can be adjusted within available slots to account for school schedules and time zones. Group classes follow the schedule set for each program.

Tuition follows the fee standards of the relevant local education office and varies by subject, program, class format, lesson length, and weekly frequency. Call us for specific tuition fees.

A subject assessment costs KRW 20,000 per subject. A learning profile assessment is included in the diagnostic process at no additional charge.

If textbooks or other learning materials are needed, related costs are provided before classes begin.
